Anthurium (Ace of Spades Open × Papillilaminum Open) × ‘Sharkbite’

A seed-grown Anthurium hybrid bred by Nick Cook of Bowtie Botanicals. The pollen parent, ‘Sharkbite,’ is one of Nick’s named NOID Anthuriums, known for its distinctive ruffled lobes. The seed parent combines Ace of Spades × Open and Papillilaminum × Open genetics.

You may also see the seed parent written (AoS X × Pap X) — the “X” indicates that each parent was itself open pollinated.

These are small 3" Grower’s Choice seedlings with established root systems that were recently moved into individual 3" pots. They are well positioned to size up as they establish and push new growth.

Parent photos are included for genetic reference. Individual seedlings will vary in leaf shape, color, venation and expression.

Care
Bright indirect light • warm temperatures • moderate to high humidity. Grown in Pro-Mix HP, a well-draining peat and perlite potting mix. Keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Do not allow Anthuriums to dry out completely between waterings.

Shipping
Plants are carefully packed and may ship potted or bare root depending on plant size and shipping conditions. Heat packs are added when appropriate during cold weather. Some minor cosmetic wear or shipping stress is normal with live plants.
