Anthurium ‘Lost Tag’ – Scott Cohen

Sometimes losing the tag leaves you with something more interesting than the name. This Scott Cohen–grown NOID Anthurium has lost its original identification, but the plant itself is making a strong case for keeping it around.

The current leaf is large, dark and velvety with a beautifully balanced heart shape, gently rounded lobes and subtle contrasting venation. The long petiole and substantial leaf size give it an elegant, mature presence despite being a relatively compact plant.

Most importantly, this plant is approaching cataphyll, an exciting developmental milestone that typically marks the transition into more mature growth. Its next several leaves should give an increasingly good look at its adult form.

The original genetics are unknown and “Lost Tag” is being used intentionally rather than guessing at the parentage. Provenance is known: this plant came from Scott Cohen.

Care: Bright indirect light • warm temperatures • moderate to high humidity. Grown in Pro-Mix HP, a well-draining peat and perlite potting mix. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged; do not allow Anthuriums to dry out completely between waterings.

Shipping: Plants are carefully packed and may ship potted or bare root depending on plant size and shipping conditions. Heat packs are added when appropriate during cold weather.
