Hoya Lacunosa sp. Cianjur Silver
A beautiful Indonesian Hoya originating from the Cianjur region of West Java, prized for its compact foliage and heavy silver splash. The small, slightly elongated green leaves develop silver flecking and patches across the surface, giving even a young plant plenty of visual interest.
One of the especially fun characteristics of Cianjur Silver is its response to brighter light: the foliage can sun stress dramatically into deep purple to nearly black tones, creating striking contrast against the silver splash. It develops a trailing or twining growth habit and can produce fragrant blooms as it matures.
This is an exact plant listing. You will receive Hoya #247, the individual plant shown in the photos.
Care
Bright indirect light • warm temperatures • moderate humidity. Grown in Pro-Mix HP, a well-draining peat and perlite potting mix. Allow the potting mix to dry fully between waterings, then water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. Hoyas should never remain waterlogged.
Allow to trail or provide a trellis or other support for its twining growth. Brighter light can encourage darker sun-stressed coloration, but acclimate gradually to increased light intensity. Do not remove spent flower peduncles, as Hoyas frequently rebloom from the same peduncle.
Shipping
Plants are carefully packed and may ship potted or bare root depending on plant size and shipping conditions. Heat packs are added when appropriate during cold weather.
