Hoya nicholsoniae ‘New Guinea Ghost’
A striking collector Hoya known for its elongated, oblong foliage covered in a luminous silvery overlay that gives the cultivar its “ghost” appearance. The pale silver-green leaves make this one especially distinctive even when it isn't in bloom, while mature plants can produce clusters of white flowers with yellow centers.
‘New Guinea Ghost’ is also a relatively approachable Hoya to grow, making it a great entry point into more unusual collector varieties.
Grower’s Choice: You will receive one healthy plant selected from our current batch. Individual plants naturally vary in leaf size, silver coloration and growth habit.
Care
Bright indirect light • warm temperatures • moderate humidity. Grown in Pro-Mix HP, a well-draining peat and perlite potting mix. Allow the potting mix to dry fully between waterings, then water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. Hoyas should never remain waterlogged.
Hoyas are vining plants and benefit from a trellis or other support as they mature. Established plants can produce beautiful, often fragrant clusters of flowers. Do not remove spent flower peduncles, as Hoyas frequently rebloom from the same peduncle.
Shipping
Plants are carefully packed and may ship potted or bare root depending on plant size and shipping conditions. Heat packs are added when appropriate during cold weather.
